Graphics cards are used by gamers to ensure they get the most out of their PC games, so install a new graphics card in your PC and enhance your gaming experience. Graphics cards are also used by designers who need better graphics handling from their PC. Graphics are an integral part of all PC games, however, most PCs aren’t built for the high-end graphics featured in a lot of PC games, so images can lag and end up ruining gameplay.

No matter what type of PC games you prefer it can be a disaster if your gaming sessions don’t run smoothly. If you’re having problems with images when playing games, you don’t necessarily need to buy a whole new PC or monitor, simply upgrade your graphics card and you’ll be up and running in no time.

One more question (maybe two or three), Since there are 10XX cards from MSI, Giagbyte, EVGA, ASUS, as well as Nvidia itself, perhaps others, does it make a difference which vendor of a 10XX card? Are there some that would not work in a Mac Pro?

The other question that pops into mind is, are the driver releases now universal? They support the Maxwell versions as well as the Pascal versions? Or do we have to look for the pascal version of the driver if you have 10xx card? Thanks for any other info. I bought a 1080 founders ed 8gb that was mac chipped profession job I got it off eBay and had questions before install the seal were replaced so I thought I had received a factory card that slid through the system but they were the one that added the seals I were seeing.

I uses one 8-6 cable I believe that they sent with the card. Wasn't cheap you get the apple boot screen per there ad just like a factory mac card.

I haven't installed it yet as I have new drives to replaced the 2tb wd red hdds that the system came with I plan on the main two jobs will be my flight sim machine running x-plane 11 sand lightroom/photoshop workhorse. I'll browse the web and use it for iTunes etc but those are the two main uses for the setup. I replacing one of the 2tb hdds with ab1tb ssd drive the rest will be replaced by 4tb wd reds I got a deal on 6 drives, enough for this machine and both my synology NAS's that will give them 2 4tb wd reds each since one has 1, I'm not totally sure of the other.ill take the 4 2tb and redo my buffalo NAS with them the netgear nas will get the best of what's left. Hi Guys, Mac Store UK has a little blurb on their website that explains two options for internally powering the 1080ti on a cMP.

Quote: ' The GTX 1080Ti, Titan X (Pascal) & Titan Xp all require this different setup. The 2 aux power connectors on the logic board will power the 8 pin connector in the mentioned graphics cards.

The setup is – 2 x mini 6 pin to 6 pin cables plugged in to a dual 6 pin to 8 pin connector. The 6 pin connector on the graphics card is then powered from a SATA power connector. If you have a spare HDD bay in your Mac the easiest way is to simply plug in a 6 pin to SATA power cable in to your spare SATA HDD socket.

If you either don’t have the free HDD bay or would like a neater solution you can draw the 6 pin power from the SATA connector in the second optical bay. This again is straightforward but does take some patience getting the extension cable in the gap between the main compartment and the optical bay.' - Mac Store UK. Pulling power from the lower optical bay would be my preference, versus external PSU or sacrificing a hard drive bay. Question: Anybody here tried this?
